Historic buildings and the green deal in the news

This is a developing story to keep a watchful eye on. With a number of conservation organisations now responding to the problems of the governments proposed one-fix solution for energy performance of buildings. Basically the solutions as proposed are unsuitable for the types of construction the historic buildings in the UK are made out of, resulting in likely problems of breathability of traditional materials and construction.

We also talked about this on Friday at the ebuk conference. With Neil May highlighting a whole raft of likely issues.

One to watch.
